Real Life: People to See!

Hello! It is Sunday evening which means tomorrow is Monday. Don't believe me? Check out a calender! Yeah - who's laughing now, eh?

Anyways - I've been miserable. So miserable that someone kindly sent me a "cheer up email," which is the sort of thing I would normally do for other people. So thank you very much Mister Email Sender - I'll write you a proper email later. I've been so miserable that someone told me I've been like a dish cloth - which is pretty miserable.

So! I'm officially taking the bull by the horns and I'm going to try to tackle a few of the things that have been making me sad. I'm going to start eating properly and I'm going to start socialising and I'm not going to drown in all the stuff I need to do. In your face Misery!

If this was a movie and I was a sassy lady character, this would be the moment when I get a makeover and cut my hair.

Ke$ha wishes she was Jem

I know I shouldn't update two days in a row but seeing as how much I enjoyed moaning about Ke$ha, I decided to do another drawing about her. This time, she's up against a pop star who is TRULY OUTRAGEOUS! It even says so in her theme song.

For those who don't know/are too young, Jem was a cartoon about a lady who used magic earrings to transform from boring Jessica into Jem! Jem was the singer in Jem and the Holograms and they were sassy and I think they ran an orphanage or something. PLUS! Their arch-rivals were The Misfits and they were just as sassy, if not more so.

If Ke$ha wants to stop being lame and start being truly outrageous then I suggest she gets herself a pair of magical earrings. In fact, that rule probably applies to most people.

IN OTHER NEWS: I bought some new clothes. This happens rarely. I shall buy new shoes tomorrow and maybe a bag. Also, I'm seeing a friend tomorrow and I'm excited.

Superhero Test

This is a test picture I did for some characters I'm going to be using soon. I hope you like them!

I've been super productive this weekend. I was sad for a bit because I watched a documentary about what normal people my age get up to and it involves going to hospital a lot and puking. So, I was worried that I should be doing more of that...

But then I did some good deeds, ate a crepe with a friend, totally made a new mini comic as well as a fancy PowerPoint and watched Bridget Jones' Diary and The Incredibles (back to back!) and thought "IN THEIR FACE!"

Woo! Yeah! Go me!

Badger

I made this for Howard's Christmas Advent Calender! You can't hate it too much since the first attempt at drawing a badger was so bad my eyes ate themselves...

EDIT: This is totally my 150th post on this blog! IN YOUR FACE!!!!

Boo hoo!

Hello

I try not to talk about my proper job in case someone reads it and I get told off...but tomorrow is my friend's last day in the office before he goes adventuring. I am sad about this for a number of reasons...but I got a funny cartoon out of it...so in your face! I even put my name at the bottom so I could print it out and give him a copy and he'd remember me.

FUN FACT: I had a lot of trouble trying to find a funny end insult that was inoffensive. I had to reject "turd weasel" and "cum dumpster" in case anyone got upset.

UPSETTING FACT: I had a weird out whilst pencilling in my initial grid. So, instead of all the panels being the same size, I drew slightly diagonal lines instead of vertical ones. I think they're about 5mm out. So if it looks a little skew-whiff then don't panic (like I did) - your eyes aren't about to explode - it's just my poor measuring. I suck.

Bye work guy! I will miss you!

Animated Icons?

I tried making an animated icon... I haven't tried it before and I hope it works. It's based on one of yesterday's pictures for Dark Beige.

UPDATE: It totally worked! In your face!
