My Cardboard Life: Lady Gaga

The third, final and fanciest of my drawings for My Cardboard Life's 300th Fiesta. I hope you like it! There are some *amazing* comics taking part - it's a real opener and I'm really glad I took part.

In other news: Mister Computer needs to go back to Computer Hospital. I called the Computer Medics and they said they'll possibly have to wipe everything - which is a bit sad but I backed up a while ago so phew. Also, I'm still a little sad but I have a plan! It involves a fair few risky things but fingers crossed. I mean, the risky stuff is my backup plan - I'll try a sensible route first and hope for the best.

I'm working on a new mini comic about magic. It won't be ready in time for MCM Expo but it will totally be done for whenever my next event is. OH! And I've got a fun upload coming soon so stay tuned. It has lasers in it!

Ke$ha is wild (and gets a kitten)

I was saving this for an extra special day because it's one of those rare drawings that actually makes me laugh. Oh Ke$ha - I know you're wild and crazy...but you just need a hug, don't you? You poor girl. When was the last time someone gave you a hug and meant it - really meant it? It must be so difficult for you, trying to be wild and crazy all the time.

Anyways. Today is an extra special day for two reasons.

Reason 1 - Mister Computer returned from the Computer Hospital! He appears to be much better and I am typing on him right this minute! I need to spent a lot of time reorganising my files but still... hooray! Welcome back Mister Computer. I

Reason 2 - I've been really sad lately but I had some nice emails and I haven't cried - so that is another special reason in my book.

I need to sit down and start work on a new issue of People I Know - but I'll still be popping by to update drawings here. I'm sorry the last month has been so sporadic. I promise to try much harder at some point this year.

SECRET PROJECT: Piney Gir Artwork

Hello

So I took the afternoon off work and the majority of my plans went hideously wrong...except that I got my hands on the CD that I did the artwork for! HOORAY!

Say hello to the latest CD single by Piney Gir - the song is called "Say I'm Sorry."

Here is a rubbish picture from my fancy phone:

I had a pretty tough time making them because the printing people needed fancy files and had templates and things - none of which I'm that up on. However, it came out right. Seriously - it's on fancy paper and there's a real case and it has a CD inside and my pictures are all over it. Also, it is officially the first big project undertaken on Mister Computer. Well done Mister Computer!

The theme was "cheerleaders on rockets."

FUN FACT: There is no purple in the pictures.

TRUE FACT: I don't know when it'll be up on iTunes or anything but you could probably get a copy by emailing Piney herself. Or email me! I have some! Speaking of me - it's bed time.

Stay out of trouble

Sleepy

Hello. I should be in bed but I had to do some stuff for Dark Beige... I guess that being sleepy is the price one must pay to be involved in such an awesome blog.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I wanted to do the drawings entirely on a tablet (Mr. COmputer's first job!) but I couldn't sort it out. Then I couldn't find my pencil case! Hence all the lateness. Boo hoo.

Introducing: Mr Computer

Finally. It happened. I have my very own proper desktop computer. I've been waiting for this for quite some time and it's obviously very disappointing. Don't get me wrong - I have Spotify! The choice of desktop background! A Blu-Ray drive (but no actual Blu-Ray discs)! Oooooooh!

On the other hand, I also have:

- no actual eject button
- no speakers
- a mouse with a roller ball thingy
- no included wireless
- MICROSOFT VISTA!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously. Vista. You are the bane of my life. I would love Mr. Computer (for that is the computer's name) so much more if you were just XP or something. It's not that you come with all sorts of junk preinstalled - I could deal with that. It's just the way you make such a fuss about things. I don't want to spend years trying to sift through my documents. I have never had to use the 'Help' function so much before. It has made me feel like a proper moron.

*sigh*

Still. I'm sure me and Mr. Computer will become BFF over time.

In other news - I did no drawing this weekend but I did construct a desk, a giant wardrobe and a weird shelf thing. I haven't done proper flatpack stuff before and it was so traumatic that it deserves a very special post...and don't even get me started on my awful Friday.

Bleurgh.
