Yeah! It's Mike Dolphino! You may remember him from that one time! Or that other time! I think this will be Mike's last appearance for a while since he's Philippa's BFF and I feel bad for borrowing him...although at least we got to smooch before the year is out.
So Monday sucked balls. The snow makes everything six times harder than it really needs to be. I made some Christmas cards for someone to use so I had to pay to have those printed and then I had to deliver them but getting to where I needed to be was a proper pain - lots of cancelled trains and ruined shoes. Then I delivered them and some of my plans went up in smoke. Which made me sad and a little angry... but not as angry as trying to get a train home. Seriously - the first train was too crowded to get on so I had to wait for the next one. I was lucky enough to grab a seat but then it got super busy and everyone was yelling at each other and pushing and shoving and I just wanted to go home. Boo hoo hoo.
On the plus side, I've started drawing some stuff. And by stuff... I MEAN PIXIES!!!! Yeah!
IN OTHER NEWS: Rather than having Wednesday as my last update of 2010, I'm thinking of at least finishing the week. How would you feel about that?

Oh dear...
It's rare that I post serious things on the blog... but this is worth watching. Or you could at least listen to it? Just let me know what you think?
I suspect that only one of the people here actually knows what they're talking about.
Man - I feel like a proper Blogger now.

Bad Date #7
Uh oh - the Bad Date series returns! I was feeling extra cynical when I drew this and I've been in a proper rage all day - so clearly this is going to be a Moody Week... Joy.

Lady Gaga versus Mystery Inc
BOO HOO HOO! Today sucked so much arse it isn't even funny.
I could bore you all about it but that would be lame. Instead, here is a comic about my favourite sasstress-du-jour: Lady Gaga! Even better than that - it also features the coolest kids in Coolsville: Mystery Inc. Obviously Scooby isn't in it because I don't like him/can't draw dogs - but everyone else is! Check them out!
BLEURGH!
UPDATE: I am listening to sad Avril Lavigne songs. This is how awful the day was. Hold me. Hold me until it goes away...

Valentine's Day 2010
Oh great. Valentine's Day...
Obviously I was super busy doing all sorts of romantic things and receiving lots of flowers and gifts and sexy text messages. It was pretty intense. I totally didn't spend the day playing Phantasy Star Zero, sewing cuddly owls and listening to some of the most depressing songs of all time.

Halloween 2009: Go Away Now
I really can’t be arsed with Halloween this year. I don’t want to dress up. I don’t want to give strangers chocolate. I don’t want to do anything that doesn’t involve playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.
Whatever the “bah! Humbug!” version of Halloween is – then it’s me this year…which is a far cry from when I spent the day dressed as a superhero sidekick.
What is particularly getting my goat is the sheer lack of imagination that goes into costumes available from big brand shops. They shouldn’t be allowed to sell a costume if you could think of it yourself. I want to walk into a shop and think “WOW! I can’t believe they have a Ninja Panda Pirate costume!” and then I want to think “WOW! I can’t believe I didn’t think of dressing up as a Ninja Panda Pirate this year!”
Seriously lame. If I’m ever in charge of the world then I will make a law that makes boring Halloween costumes illegal. No more Slutty Cats! Not for you!
Ugh. Whatever. Don’t listen to me. I’m in a mood.

BLEURGH

Today has been awful. Scratch that - the last few weeks have been pretty sucky.
I mean, sure there have been some good parts...but they've been stupendously outweighed by the sheer massive amount of suck that has come my way.
Good Parts:
- Jessie and Mike were in town
- I saw Paul. I drew a picture of him
- I fixed the grill!
- I got to walk around town whilst eating ice cream
- I have achieved nothing
- I am possibly an awful person
- I have spent too much money and saved none
- I was so depressed today that I have eating nothin but junk...
- ...so now I really want to throw up

Introducing: Mr Computer
Finally. It happened. I have my very own proper desktop computer. I've been waiting for this for quite some time and it's obviously very disappointing. Don't get me wrong - I have Spotify! The choice of desktop background! A Blu-Ray drive (but no actual Blu-Ray discs)! Oooooooh!
On the other hand, I also have:
- no actual eject button
- no speakers
- a mouse with a roller ball thingy
- no included wireless
- MICROSOFT VISTA!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously. Vista. You are the bane of my life. I would love Mr. Computer (for that is the computer's name) so much more if you were just XP or something. It's not that you come with all sorts of junk preinstalled - I could deal with that. It's just the way you make such a fuss about things. I don't want to spend years trying to sift through my documents. I have never had to use the 'Help' function so much before. It has made me feel like a proper moron.
*sigh*
Still. I'm sure me and Mr. Computer will become BFF over time.
In other news - I did no drawing this weekend but I did construct a desk, a giant wardrobe and a weird shelf thing. I haven't done proper flatpack stuff before and it was so traumatic that it deserves a very special post...and don't even get me started on my awful Friday.
