So, my friend and I were discussing what would happen if we had a baby. I can't remember why but the baby ended up being called Jumanji...and I think we're all agreed that this is a brilliant name. And look how cute lil' ol' Jumanji is!
FUN FACT: The second-to-last panel features a brand new facial expression. Exciting, eh?
So it's Friday and I've taken the day off work so I can attend the MCM Expo. Remember - if you're coming to visit me, please do this dance. I'm really looking forward to the next three days but anticipate being exhausted by the end of it.
IN OTHER NEWS: I had a lie in this morning. It was amazing.

Kinky Girlfriend...
I feel a bit gross for doing this drawing...but a friend asked me for something about him and this puppet he got his hands on (in?). Who am I to disappoint? Oh! I did a drawing about him a while ago. He looks much better now. Or maybe that's just my drawing?
Anyways. Hello! With working hard and socialising, my evenings have been eaten up... which is a real pain since I've still got LOADS to do before MCM Expo. Ho hum.
Speaking of MCM Expo, remember last time I made a dance routine for you to do? Well, I haven't had the chance to make a new one so feel free to do that one again... Here it is again:

Wizarding Wednesday #4
It's Wednesday! There are Wizards! What does it mean? I think you know...
It's WIZARDING WEDNESDAY! This time, with added witch! I've always wondered whether wizards and witches are BFFs or just not friends. What do you think?
Today was another nice day. I worked hard and then we listened to songs that we liked from 'back in the day.'Mine included...um... 5ive, B*Witched and Roxette. That's how cool I am.
IN OTHER NEWS: If it's your birthday today then Happy Birthday to you!

Making Out
It's Tuesday...and I'm start to worry since there's still a bumload of stuff I need to do before MCM Expo. Except there isn't the time. Where has the time gone? Did someone steal it? Boo hoo. I want my time back!
But yes. Monday was a busy day. I did lots of work. In fact, I was quite angry since I got an earlier train to work so I could be super early...except my trains took ages to get anywhere so I got an early train for nothing. That train totally stole some of my time - and I'd like it back.
To make up for it, I had to svae lots of time in the evening by doing lots of stuff. I sewed labels onto bags and I made another giant owl. Oh! And I received some amazing photos...but I'm saving them for later. They are amazing though.

Saving the World
PEAKABOO!
I had a fun weekend. It was busy and I didn't get as much done as I was meant to...but it was fun, and that's important. Saturday was spent stuffing owls and watching television. I did some drawing too. There's one drawing which is just really weird - even by my standards. It's pretty just a whole page of pirates. And there's a boat? And I don't remember drawing it... Hmmm...
Then Sunday was a pal's birthday and we went to the cinema to see the Book of Masters - the first Russian-produced Disney film.
The film, like my drawing, is BIZARRE! Great - but WEIRD. I liked the talking ball of string the best. And the mermaid with the magic hair. I didn't like the fact that the susbtitles were in white and sometimes you couldn't see them. Oh! And my popcorn was pretty nasty-tasting.
So it's a new week - and don't forget, it's MCM Expo at Halloween weekend! Will I see you there?

Justin Bieber: Gotta Catch 'Em All
It's Friday! Which would normally mean it's time for the weekend... except I'll be spending most of my weekend in front of the sewing machine as I try to get things ready for MCM Expo. YEAH!
Speaking of yeah - all my comics have arrived now. Some of the covers and sizes are a bit different to what I was harping on about a few days ago - but that's ok. It just means you're getting limited editions or something?
Oh - and here is a drawing about Justin Bieber. And he's referencing Pokemon! Pokemon was a MASSIVE part of my childhood - so I can sort of sympathise with the Bieber Fans. They too will feel a bit silly when they grow up and find all their trading cards and plush toys in the attic
IN OTHER NEWS: I did my first week at New Job! I think it's been OK? No one has kicked me and I still haven't cried. Phew.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND GUYS!

The Bee's Knees
I have a real soft spot for those slightly odd sayings - "the bee's knees," "the proof is in the pudding," etc etc So here's a cute drawing about the knees of bees. Isn't it cute? I think it's cute. The cuteness rating says "yes."You better think it's cute too!
Anyways - I just worked a lot today - but in a good way. And I did a lot of exercise which must be a good thing, right? It made me super hungry though...
EXCITING NEWS: Remember how I was harping on about all the new stuff I'm hoping to sell at MCM Expo? Well, People I Know: The First Year arrived in the post today. Without blowing my own trumpet or anything, it looks lovely. It's in full colour! FULL COLOUR! It's not just black and white - there are reds and yellows and whatever colour tears are. It's really raised the bar for me in what my comics should look like.
Which is just as well since I started work on People I Know #12 tonight! Just a rough plot outline but here's a clue: there might be crying!
IN OTHER NEWS: There's an amazing comic shop in Nottingham called Page 45. They launched their website today and it is incredible. If you like comics, what are you waiting for? Check. It. Out.

Underwear (and some exciting news)
It must be really tough to be a Pussycat Doll. I mean, not only do you have to sing and dance *ahem* but you have to do the whole thing in your knickers. And not even your nice, comfortable knickers... No, no, no. You have to do it all in really sexy and impractical knickers. Ugh. How depressing.
Anyways - I was going to go on a rant about how terrible and shameless the Pussycat Dolls are - but I'm sleepy. I had mini panic this morning about my printing but it looks like it should arrive in time for MCM Expo after all. PHEW.
And to celebrate this, I have a sort of exciting reveal. If you go to the comics section of my website, you can see all the nice covers of the stuff I've been working on.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW RIGHT NOW:
- All the mini comics are now A7 sized and therefore much cuter
- The new mini comic is called Twins and is about being twins with someone. I think two of my real friends make cameo appearances in it...
- I've updated the covers to the collected volumes for no other reason than I hated the old ones
- People I Know: The First Year is a collection of my favourite drawings from the first year of my website - IN FULL RUDDY COLOUR!
- People I Know #11 is not in full colour but it's still super cute. Toby and Christina return! You might remember them from #1, #4 and #9 as well as the website... Christina bumps into an ex but something isn't quite right

Emma: The Painters
I know - it's an awful joke. But I wanted to draw Emma again since I enjoyed her last appearance so much...
Anyways - this is a bit of an odd drawing since I made it a few weeks ago but it kept getting pushed back and back because there were day-specific drawings that had to jump the queue. So, if I were ever to collect my favourite drawings from the last year into a FULL COLOUR COMIC then this would totally be in it. Hypothetically speaking, of course...
IN OTHER NEWS: My frist day of the New Job seemed to go well. The people are nice and I worked hard. And I didn't cry! Surely not crying is a very good sign? Thanks for the good luck guys!
Also! I just realised I didn't say who my favourite was in the X Factor this week. That's because I didn't really like any of them. Bleurgh. Hmmm...
OK - so this isn't great...except for Cher's bit at 1'20 which is ace.

Happy First Birthday!
So...it turns out that I started uploading drawings to my proper website a year ago yesterday! That's a whole year of website. How exciting. And although I've only recently started doing daily uploads, there are something like 200 drawings up there!
I was pretty late to the whole "getting a website," thing, even though I've been making my print comic for a while... But I've really enjoyed uploading drawings and seeing how they've been received. And the nice thing is that there are some super nice people out there who actually like my stuff! Thanks guys! I totally promise to keep trying my hardest. BFF FOREVER!
Speaking of trying my hardest, I start my new job this week. I bought myself a fancy notebook! Fingers crossed.
And since it's my website's first birthday, I have an exciting thing to reveal.
YES! That's right! I got tote bags made up! They are super cute and bright orange. Plus there is an owl on the front. And a pun. I'm pretty sure that this is the recipe for greatness.
The owl bags will be coming to MCM Expo, Comiket and Thought Bubble... so come along! And say hello.

A Bird in the Hand
It's Friday! But it's not just any old Friday... it's my last day at my job. It's a long story but I'm moving over to another company until the end of the year. I start the new job on Monday and I'm super excited but also super nervous. Wish me luck, you guys!
Right...what else? I am expecting a bunch of new stuff to arrive in time for MCM Expo...except that the only that has arrive so far are my fancypants flyer. I'm going to properly worry though until next week...
IN OTHER NEWS: It is bed time!

Booty Call
Arrrr! Me hearties! Shiver me timbers! Pieces of eight! Arrrr!
That's right - it's a drawing about a pirate. Phone calls seem to be a bit of a trend in recent drawings. PLUS! I'm pretty sure that at least half the issues of People I Know (the printed comic I make) involve a phone conversation. Maybe I am secretly in love with the telephone? That would explain a lot.
ANYWAYS! I've been drawing and sewing today. I feel a bit sick as well. Oh! And I ordered a bunch of fun things. I'm hoping everything arrives in time for MCM so people can look at them and make cooing noises.

Wizarding Wednesday #3
It's Wednesday! There are Wizards! That can only mean one of two things - all my dreams have finally come true and I can enroll in Hogwarts...or it's Wizarding Wednesday!
This is obviously great news! Everyone loves Wizard Wednesday...except for poor Toby. Of course he can't join in - he isn't a wizard. He's just a sad dinosaur. Boo hoo hoo.
ANYWAYS. I had Tuesday off work. I was going to do lots and lots of sewing but in the end, I learnt how to make multi-paged PDFs! It's for a top secret, super-exciting project which you will hear all about once I've actually got it all sorted. So I'll just spend my next day off work sewing... which is handy since I have booked Wednesday off work! YEAH!
Also, I have decided that I need to leave the country at some point next year. I'm scared of pretty much everything but I've been sort of adventurous this year. I went to Birmingham, Oxford and Edinburgh! Plus I'm going to Leeds in November. But next year I will be brave and go on a mini holiday or something! YEAH!

He Ain't Heavy...
Hello! I have the day off work today! I'm going to do lots of sewing and lots of drawing and I may or may not attempt to cook some food. And by food, I obviously mean cookies. And to be honest, my cooking abilities are not high. I think being scared of pretty much everything involved in cooking (knives, hot things, eggs) makes the whole process a bit tricksy.
ANYWAYS! Here is a new drawing. It probably isn't obvious, but I totally tried using a different colour scheme than usual. It was meant to look a bit like Autumn... *awkward silence*
IN OTHER NEWS: I socialised this evening. I met up with some old work pals and we took part in a pub quiz. We came second! And the team that won had about twenty people in it... Well done us! Oh! And I'm tagging this under "boo hoo," because I don't like leaving the tags empty... I'm not actually sad.

What is a Virgin?
Hello!
The weekend, like always, has come and gone. I did some stuff and drew some stuff and planned some stuff and ate some stuff. I also went on a Mega Walk on Saturday. Walking around town is one of my favourite things to do.
Also - look! I drew a robot! I hope that "sex noob," becomes a popular phrase for the Robot Generation and is one day added to the dictionary.
Also, I watched the first live episode of the X Factor. Here are the top three performances in my opinion - but BE WARNED! It's like the producers have tried to recreate my dream performances. Be prepared:

Swan Snogging
People always say that swans mate for life. Well, I'm not sure I believe that. I mean, if I was a swan, I'd be a mega-swan-slag. There wouldn't be a swan I hadn't smooched!
But look, this isn't about me. This is about Lynn - a poor girl who fell in love with a swan...and had her heart broken. And smashed. And stamped on. Poor Lynn.
IN OTHER NEWS: I had fishcakes for dinner. Yum. But I don't think I made any new friends today.
BUT I DID WATCH THIS!

Real Life: Angela Lansbury
Good news! I made a new friend! Better news! He met Angela Lansbury once! And I know what you're thinking: I bet he just said that to trick me into being his friend... EXCEPT! I didn't tell him about my love of all things Lansbury. It just came up in conversation. And he was like "So you like Murder, She Wrote."
Obviously I didn't actually puke on him. That would have be weird and it's probably safe to say that we wouldn't be pals... but I did a bit of a puke in my brain. Does that count?
ANYWAYS! I've been eating lots of lasagne.

Holding Hands
You know what I like? Holding hands!
Other things I like include (but aren't limited to) the following: pancakes, drawing, robots, walking, museums and cakes.
But look! Poor Emma! She loves holding hands but everybody thinks she's weird. Oh dear. I don't know how she feels about pancakes or drawing or all the rest though.
FUN FACT: Remember that Fun Game I made? Emma is totally standing in between Character One and Character Two! But this is the first time she's appeared in a strip! Talk about forward planning! Good work me!
IN OTHER NEWS: There isn't much other news right now... There's a bit of a change on the horizon which I'm both excited and nervous about. I've made some new friends with some amazing people.

Real Life: Mike Dolphino!
What's that? You've got something in your pocket? But you're not just happy to see me? Well...that can only mean one thing! MIKE DOLPHINO HAS COME TO VISIT!
I know what you might be thinking: "Who or what is Mike Dolphino?"
Well...it's a bit pointless to try to describe his magnificence in mere words. Instead, here is a link to some photos of him! And here he is on Twitter! Mike is the most talented crocheted dolphin I have ever met. His primary talent is squirming into trousers. He could be in your trousers RIGHT NOW!
Oh. Mike Dolphino was birthed by the lovely Philippa Rice. She also births My Cardboard Life. She's totally winking at me in today's drawing.
I hope you get to experience some Mike Dolphino time soon...

Lady Gaga: Jokerface
Goodbye Weekend! Hello another week! I had a nice weekend. On Saturday, I saw an old pal who I haven't seen in quite some time. But then it started raining and my shoes fell apart. My socks were SOAKED and I had to go buy a new pair of shoes. But instead of doing what I normally do - which is to buy an identical pair of shoes - I went to a slightly fancy shoe shop and got slightly fancy shoes. FANCY!
ANYWAYS! Here is a drawing about Lady Gaga. I wonder what she got up to at the weekend.
IN OTHER NEWS: my proper website is nearly a year old! I started uploading pictures onto it from the 17th of October last year! I'm thinking of collecting some of my favourite drawings together into a FULL COLOUR COMIC! How would you feel about that?

Prank Call
Look! I tried being adventurous and drew hands on someone. And LOOK CLOSER! There are rolls of fat. How realistic!!! I mean, it's like looking at a really real person. Wowsers.
Anyways. Yeah. Bizarre day. Lots to think about. Lots to sort out. And it's sodding October!!!
Which reminds me: remember that fun game I set up? Well, the closing date is on the 3rd of October if you want to send me your answer.
IN OTHER NEWS: I really do have lots to sort out. Ho hum...
